As the capital of the Malopolskie, or Little Poland, Krakow has always been a center for business, art, and culture. Noted for the Strate Miasto, which literally means “Old Town”, Krakow is a popular destination for architecture enthusiasts, history buffs, and for those who simply love to go sightseeing. Its cobblestone streets, baroque and gothic styled buildings, churches, and monasteries make it a wonderful place to explore. If you happen to go there, get a cheap car hire in Krakow Airport and drive to the Strate Miasto. It’s only a few minutes drive away from the airport, and with your car, you can easily reach the Wawel hill where you’ll find the Wawel Castle as well as the Cathedral. If you have the time, you can also drive to the Kazimierz District which is a predominantly Jewish area and a great place to explore and learn more about the city’s culture. You can also go to the Zwierzyniec, which is what used to be the old royal hunting grounds and houses the beautiful Blonia Meadow.
