This is also the liveliest time of year in Geneva, as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Paleo Folk Festival both take place. At this time, there are crowds of visitors so those who like quiet holidays may wish to choose to visit in the months on either side of the peak months, when the weather is still pleasant and there are fewer people. In the winter months, minimum temperatures can drop to below freezing. Rainfall can occur throughout the year.
