Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and there is a lot to see away from the main resorts and city. Many people take in the mountain town of Valldemosa on the northwest coast, along with cool Alcudia bay in the north. You can get to the latter from Palma and nearby resorts direct via the highway, while the entire island can be covered on a loop in a day or two.

Best Time To Visit

Tourists enjoy some of the best weather in Europe in Majorca. There’s not really a bad time to visit, but come in July and August if you like it hot (25ºC), dry and busy. May to June (late spring) and September (early autumn) are equally sunny but with quieter beaches. Even wintertime (December to February) is nice here, with daily averages of 14ºC.
