Majorca is the most popular island destination in the Mediterranean, which is unsurprising given its fantastic weather, amazing beaches, pumping resorts, quiet coves and unrivalled hospitality. Additionally, the island has plenty of historic attractions in the capital, Palma de Mallorca, along with quaint hilltop villages that are best visited with car hire in Majorca.

You can get to the latter from Palma and nearby resorts direct via the highway, while the entire island can be covered on a loop in a day or two.
