The US city of Orlando is at the heart of the state of Florida and due to its renowned theme parks it is one of the most popular visitor destinations on the planet. Transport

Orlando International Airport, 10 miles southeast of the city centre, is the chief arrival point for international visitors. Buses are the only public transport option in the city. Things To See and Do

Walt Disney World Resort is a 20-mile trip when using car rental in Orlando. The top end of International Drive is a 15-minute drive. SeaWorld, Gatorland and the Wet ‘n Wild Water Park are all located on this road. Recreation facilities can be found to the north at Seminole State Forest. Cocoa Beach is around one hour’s drive east and offers surfing among its many draws.

Best Time To Visit

Orlando has two annual climatic seasons. The wet season stretches from May until the end of September and is very humid with temperatures regularly exceeding 35°C. The cool season from October to April is much more conducive for visitors. Daytime temperatures are still in the region of 22°C, even in January, and while there is some rainfall, it is infrequent.
