What can you do in Grenoble if you’re not visiting during the winter months? Plenty actually as there are many nice spots that you can visit here to get to know a little more about the place as well as its people.
Take the cable car and go up to the fortress of Bastille, Forte de la Bastille; an old fortification high up on a hill that was used as a penal complex but is now turned into an exhibit place for vintage cars and motor bikes.
From atop the hill, you can get a panoramic view of Grenoble. You can also drive to the Musee de la Grenoble or the Art Museum here where you will see an eclectic mix of contemporary and ancient art under one roof. This museum is about two hundred years old!
Delacroix, Monet, Matisse and Picasso are only some of the great painters whose works are on display here.
