Simon BracknellThe well known leisure car rental company Alamo has just recently confirmed that it wants to step up its presence in the Middle East. This is will be done with the launch of four locations in the United Arab Emirates.
Alamo has also established a dedicated website for its Middle East customers and a standalone reservation center. Guy Coghlan, the managing director of the Middle East Alamo and National Car Rental said that they see the United Arab Emirates as a key region for the development of the Alamo brand. This is both because it is an incredibly important in bound tourist destination and because Alamo knows that the United Arab Emirates residents want to be able to access a car rental service that has local knowledge and global reach.
The Alamo brand, with a very clear focus on leisure travelers, has grown from an original base in Florida to having 8,800 rental locations in 90 countries. The new locations will include rental offerings in downtown Abu Dhabi and Dubai and at both Abu Dhabi and Dubai International airports. Alamo will have a fleet of 4,000 vehicles established for the new United Arab Emirates operation. This should provide holidaymakers with tons of different choices.
Mr Coghlan went on to say that they are very excited to have opened operations in this key location. With the local knowledge that is behind Alamo, the company will be able to provide both domestic and international holidaymakers with a high quality car rental experience. This way people can get on the road as quickly as possible.
