Marriott Hotels Looking for UK Hotel Inspectors
Justin HarperApparently Marriott Hotels in the UK is currently looking to recruit up to six voluntary hotel inspectors from the general public. The company hopes that these “hotel inspectors” will be able to help the company keep their 41 UK hotels, which have just recently undergone a £120 million refurbishment, in tip-top shape.
It also seems that Marriott Hotels is moving quickly on this new idea. In fact, reports suggest that the successful inspectors that Marriott Hotels chooses will be notified this month. Once recruited, each of the inspectors will be required to visit two hotels for two nights each. There they will be required to enjoy the facilities available and report back their experience to Marriott Hotels at the end.
After officially announcing that Marriott Hotels was looking for six hotel inspectors, the company has so far received 1,100 people that have applied for the spots. According to Marriott Hotels, they are specifically looking for people with different areas of expertise and needs that are representative of the group’s varied guest base. This does include everyone from business travelers to weekend leisure travelers.
Osama Hirzalla, vice president of brand marketing and eCommernce for Marriott Hotels, said that everyone is a reviewer now-a-days, whether they are recommending a hotel to friends or sharing their thoughts about a website. Now Marriott wants to offer a chance to the public to become Marriott Hotel Inspectors and offer their feedback about the newly refurbished properties. Their comments will be used to help ensure that Marriott Hotels continue to meet the standards of the public.
