New Property Deal Signed in Cairo by Hilton
Steven PowellJust recently Hilton signed a Management Agreement with High for Touristic Projects for the new Hilton Heliopolis in Cairo. This new Hilton hotel is scheduled to open as of 2014. The hotel itself will have 485 rooms. It is going to be located next to a great shopping complex and is also next to the Cairo International Airport, which makes it perfect for travelers.
Jean Paul Herzog, the President of Hilton Middle East and Africa, said that they are very happy to have signed this new management agreement for a landmark hotel in Cairo. This is a very important development for Hilton hotels. The Hilton Heliopolis will truly complement their existing portfolio in Cairo, while also supporting their new position as the leading hotel brand in all of Egypt. Thanks to Cairo’s bustling new international airport, which handles about 20 million passengers a year, they look forward to increasing demand for accommodations in the area.
The Hilton Heliopolis will actually features five restaurants and bars. These will range from an all day dining restaurant and two specialty restaurants, to a sports bar and a lobby lounge bar. The hotel will have a 960 sq meter ballroom, nine meeting rooms of various sizes and even one boardroom. Further, on-site facilities are planned to include a lounge that is dedicated to airline crew. There will also be a fitness center, outdoor swimming pool and two tennis courts.
