September to See an Increase in Holiday Bookings
Steven PowellReports are now suggesting that bookings for holidays this coming September are up 75 percent when compared to the year before. According to Lowcostholidays.com, some of the top selling destinations include places like Egypt, Spain and the Canary Islands.
For many people, this is the year to take their vacations back. Over the past few years people have had to skip out on their holidays due to economic problems. People wanted to hang onto the money that they had. Now, however, the economy is getting better and people want to start vacationing again.
The CEO of Lowcostholidays.ccom, Paul Evans, said that, with unfortunate images in the press of stranded passengers, people need to be reassured that they can get a great value holiday without having to worry about being left overseas. This is what Lowcostholidays.com is trying to do.
He went on to say that the company is well established and profitable. It staffs some 300 employees and provides holidays and travel arrangements for over 2 million passengers every year. All of the company’s customers affected by the ash crisis earlier this year were given a complete, 100 percent refund. Any of the consumers that booked with them that were affected by Kiss Flights will also receive a full refund. The company is working hard to deliver cheap holidays with the reassurance people are looking for.
The head of product at Lowcostholidays.com, Matt Hall, said that holidaymakers are still booking with online travel agents, as they recognize the great value to be had online. Sales in July for the group were up 93 percent on the year before. This has to do with the fact that bookings are up 75 percent.
