Sixt Offers Driving Tours For Travelers in Germany and Austria
Steven PowellSixt, a well known car rental company, in conjunction with BMW ConnectedDrive, will work with Design Hotels and 11 other member hotels to make driving tours for travelers in both Germany and Austria. These custom made driving tours will cater to independent travelers looking for adventurous new ways to discover regional highlights in both countries.
Travelers will now be able to use their BMC rentals to access new, detailed routes and sites for a tailor made driving tour throughout the whole country. All BMW cars that are offered by Sixt are installed with BMW’s latest navigation system called ConnectedDrive. This is the system that will be offering these tailor made driving tours.
The road trips that get planned out are designed to incorporate many different things. The trips will try and incorporate that region’s culture, history, as well as some key points of architectural interest. To take part in these trips, renters simply access a special site and choose a route by downloading it to their ConnectedDrive system. The system then takes guests all the way from their hotel to various destination. This system proves what these kinds of GPS systems can do for independent tourist.
These systems are better than hiring any kind of guide that could do the same thing. For example, these systems are able to update automatically to account for traffic delays and so on. Participating hotels will be offering these special package rates fro BMW ConnectedDrive guests, which can be booked at the Design Hotel website. As of right now, this plan is suppose to run until the end of the year.
