Sweet singer goes diva in Knightsbridge

The usually debonair Alicia Keys threw an out-of-character strop over a suite that was given to her for free by a posh London Knightsbridge hotel this week. The singer was in the capital to promote her new album The Element of Freedom and she was offered the plushest suite in the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel in the upper class area of Knightsbridge for free. The room has previously hosted the likes of Madonna and Michael Jackson throughout the years yet it seems that it was far from good enough for Ms. Keys.

The room is worth an estimated £5,000 for a three-night stay but after arriving at the suite on Monday the singer, who is currently enjoying huge successes in the charts both in America and the UK, turned on her high heels and promptly left the building. It has since been revealed that the hotel had been in contact with Alicia’s team of personal assistants for the past week to ensure that the room was up to standards. Her favourite flowers, goodies and scents were scattered throughout the room and an entrance was even closed off to the rest of the hotel in order for her to arrive in privacy.

After she arrived to the room, aptly called the Luxury Suite, she demanded a larger room but after being informed by the apologetic hotel that this was the largest room she left in a waiting limo with her entourage or workers to find a substitute hotel. During her album launch the singer told the press how she was excited about her up and coming May tour in the UK. Let’s just hope our hotels are up to her standards come May!
