What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Accessing the town of Terrace and the heritage homelands of the Kitselas people in British Columbia is most easily managed by flying to Terrace Airport. Hawkair, Jazz Air and Central Mountain Air operate flights to Terrace from Vancouver, Prince George and Smithers. The airport is five kilometres south of town.

Terrace Airport facilities

The spacious terminal at Terrace Airport offers a pleasant arrivals experience. There are conference rooms, free internet and a restaurant which overlooks the runway.
