Heading east on the A1058 is the route for beaches at Whitley Bay. Best Time To Visit

Due to its diverse attractions and proximity to beaches and historic sights, Newcastle is a perennial favourite for mini-breaks. It is at its busiest during the peak holiday months of July and August when temperatures are around 18°C to 20°C. It is probably better to visit in May, June or September when temperatures are only slightly cooler and there are fewer other tourists.
