Paphos Airport is the principal entry point for the ancient city of Paphos and the surrounding beach resorts and districts of western Cyprus. Things To See and Do

The Akamas Peninsula boasts picturesque landscapes, Aphrodite's Baths and a turtle sanctuary. It is only 30kms north of town with car rental in Paphos Airport. Blue Flag beaches such as Coral Bay, Polis and Dasoudi are all in the locality. Taking the A6 southbound from Paphos leads visitors to Yeroskipou and Petra tou Romiou, Aphrodite's birthplace. Yeroskipou has an interesting folk art museum and Agia Paraskevi Church.

Best Time To Visit

The weather in western Cyprus is suitable for a holiday at any time of year. Although there is usually some rain during the November to February winter period, it does not last long and average daytime temperatures of 15°C are comfortable. July and August are hot and humid with temperatures over 30°C and these months see large crowds.
