Calpe is a town with a very rich historical background and is very grounded in its traditions. If you get a car hire in Calpe, try going to the Old Town, you'll see there how rich Calpe's history really is. There are several museums that you can visit, monuments that you can take pictures of, and several well preserved buildings. You will also pass through narrow streets that have been around since the medieval ages. If you go to the coast, then you will see several fishing boats, as fishing is the main industry there, something which has not changed in hundreds of years. But that's not to say that Calpe can't cope with the times. Quite the opposite, really. Calpe has blended its old town charm with that of modern cities, and the result is a city that is not only perfect for tourism, but a perfect place to live in. What do I need to do when picking up a car?
