Gran Canaria Airport, otherwise known as Las Palmas Airport, is located on the eastern side of the island of Gran Canaria, on the Bay of Gando. It is the fifth-busiest airport in Spain, handling over 10 million passengers every year. Gran Canaria's peak season is summer (June through August), when average temperatures are between 20°C and 26°C, but tourists flock to Gran Canaria all year round as there is little temperature variation, even in the winter months when minimum readings rarely drop below 14°C. The highest rainfall is experienced in September and November, while in the summer months there is generally no rain at all. The best flight prices are found between March and May.
