What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

It was spared from most of the damages incurred by neighboring cities, leaving Augusta with a lot more historic and valuable structures. At the same time, it was able to preserve its cultural heritage through the museums that had long stood even before the Civil War erupted.

There are two major landmarks that tourists should visit in Augusta. One is the Historic Downtown. In here is a strip of old buildings, monuments, memorial parks, and shopping centers. Going here is probably the best way to jumpstart your visit in the city, as it will explain a lot of things about Georgia that you wouldn't get to know otherwise. Thus, you can deal with the locals more easily. Another place worth going to is the Augusta Canal area. With an admission price that's relatively cheap (worth only 6 dollars), you can take a guided tour around the area. You can also do fun activities such as hiking, canoeing, biking, and kayaking.
